Project 1: Subdivision Entry Wall in Lake Wales
Due to an unexpected auto accident causing significant damage to the entry wall of a Lake Wales subdivision, we needed to quickly assess and make the necessary repairs. Restoring the wall’s structure and previous appearance required working with a block mason, stucco subcontractor, tile installer, and a sign company.
Our team coordinated all phases, from demolishing the damaged sections to matching the existing architectural style. Special care guaranteed the new tile work and signage integrated perfectly with the surrounding design. Clear communication among trades, efficient scheduling, and strict quality checks allowed the project to be completed on time and restored the welcoming entrance that the community expects and deserves.
Project 2: 25,000-Square-Foot Slab for Local Truss Plant
A larger challenge awaited at a local truss plant, where an aging asphalt and concrete area needed a complete overhaul. After removing the existing surfaces, crews brought in 32 truckloads of fill dirt to prepare for a massive new slab measuring 100 feet by 250 feet and six inches thick.
Preparation included termite treatment, laying heavy wire mesh and rebar reinforcement, and meticulous formwork to handle the large pour. To ensure optimal concrete curing in Polk County’s climate, the 4000 psi concrete was poured at 2:00 a.m. By the project’s end, it totaled 390 cubic yards. That planning helped our team meet strict structural requirements while minimizing downtime for the plant’s operations.
