Our A.O. Wagner team often has specific building projects that go up quickly, and this one is moving fast. It’s a new 3,800-square-foot, pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) with a deep entrance inset for Assemblee Evangelique church in Winter Haven.
Built for Konger Construction, this project started on March 10, and our team is already pushing hard toward a full completion date by the end of the month. Here’s what we’ve completed so far.
Installing Steel Framework
We erected the building’s structural steel framework, which helped create a solid foundation for the columns, rafters, roof purlins, wall girts, and cross bracing. Having those in place helped us with precise panel alignment and structural stability.
Insulation and Wall Sheet Installation
The next steps were to layer the vinyl-backed insulation and secure the bottom wall sheets. Once completed, this gave our team a clean foundation on which to work as they started prepping to install the paneling for the exterior walls.
Two-Tone Exterior Wall Panels
The two-tone metal wall sheets are now installed along the lower portion of the framework. Those metal panels give the building long-term durability, design consistency, and a fresh appearance.
Deep Front Entrance Inset Installation
Next, we installed one of the building’s main features — the deep inset at the front entrance of the church building. This design gives the entry a sense of depth, and the building a welcoming yet professional appearance.
Interior Insulation Provides Comfort and Control
Inside, clean lines of insulation were applied along the wall interiors. This layer controls temperature and sound and boosts long-term energy efficiency.
Window Framing and Trim Work Nears Completion
Our team also framed and trimmed the windows so natural light could shine through to the worship area. The next step is finishing the wall panels and installing insulation.
By the end of the month, this structure will be ready to move on to the final phase, welcoming the church’s congregation and inviting others to visit.
