The A.O. Wagner Construction team loves working with longtime friends and partners, especially when we’re creating better spaces for the entire community.
That’s why, while the students and staff at Victory Ridge Academy were enjoying a well-deserved Thanksgiving break, our team was hard at work giving a campus bathroom a complete makeover. This project was another wonderful opportunity to create a fresh, updated space for their close-knit community.
When you’re improving an entire facility, every single detail matters. And this small (but mighty!) renovation in Lake Wales was no exception. It’s amazing what you can accomplish in just a few short days!
BEFORE
From Demo to Done
A total bathroom refresh starts from the ground up, literally, and it’s about more than just cosmetic upgrades. We had to start with a clean slate, so our first step was demolition.
We carefully removed and disposed of all the old wall and floor tiles for a fresh start. We also removed all the fixtures, including toilets, the urinal, and the partitions, setting them aside for reinstallation later.
Putting It All Back Together
With the demo complete, next comes the fun part: bringing the new design to life. With the old materials cleared out, we got to work on the prep. This involved installing new backer board to support the urinal and vanity areas, and applying a waterproofing membrane to the floor to protect against future moisture.
Then, we installed sleek new 12×12 floor tiles and modern 4×12 wall tiles, completely changing the look and feel of the space. A fresh coat of paint on the walls and a new tile base brightened everything up instantly.
We then reinstalled the existing fixtures, toilets, urinal, and partitions, taking the time to make sure everything was secure and functioning perfectly. As a final touch, we installed new wall-mount sinks and reinstalled all the accessories, making sure every handle and holder was exactly where it needed to be.
We’re so proud to continue our work with Victory Ridge Academy on both their Davenport and their Lake Wales campus to help them enhance, improve, and beautify their campus. It’s always rewarding to see a project come together and provide a better environment for students and faculty.
