With Phase 2 entering its eighth month, the Victory Ridge Academy project is getting top marks for completion. The campus is closing in on recess-ready status, and there’s plenty of extra credit-worthy work to show for it. Since our last update, our crews have kept up the pace across every building on site.
ULC Interior Finishes
Drywall is complete throughout the ULC, and this building has received its primer and first coat of paint. The ceiling grid and tile flooring installation are next on the syllabus for this space.
Cafeteria Progress
Storefront glass installation is now complete at the cafeteria, a milestone that follows the momentum captured in one of our previous updates. Crews are topping out the remaining interior block walls and framing the exterior roof soffits on the overhangs. Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) system rough-ins are underway, and mechanical units have been set on the roof. Drywall is expected to start within the next couple of weeks.
Covered Play Pavilion Nearing Completion
The sports court equipment and paint lines are complete, and interior plumbing trim-out along with tile flooring installation in the bathrooms will wrap up within the next two weeks. The pre-finished manufactured louver and sunshade system is scheduled for installation in the coming week, putting this building at the head of the class for recess readiness.
Skills Building Advancing
At the Skills Building, metal soffit panels are being installed alongside MEP rough-ins above the ceiling. All of the interior wall studs are framed out, and drywall installation is scheduled to begin next week. No pop quiz needed to see this one is right on schedule!
Around Campus and On the Playground
The playground equipment installation is underway, and artificial turf installation will be the final step. We know the students will be very excited about recess once complete!
Across the site, walkway canopies continue to go in between buildings to keep students protected from the Florida sun and storms, and the covered pavilion planter is nearing completion. Once finished, it will give students a dedicated space for some hands-on gardening lessons outside the classroom.
