We recently took on a project to overhaul a maintenance shop at a local theme park, and the transformation was nothing short of impressive. While we’ve taken on multiple projects for theme parks in the past, we’re proud of this job because it showcased our range as contractors and our ability to deliver on a tight timeline.
What started as a small, worn-out breakroom has become a completely revitalized 1,300-square-foot space designed to support the hardworking maintenance team. This project took us about four weeks to complete, turning a dated area into a modern, multi-functional facility.
Before: Time for a Change
When we first arrived, the space was functional, but it lacked the comfort and amenities the crew deserved.
The old breakroom was cramped and outdated, and the area needed a total refresh to better serve the team. We knew a full demolition was the first step to creating a clean slate for something much better.
The Buildout: A Fresh Vision
With the old structures gone, we got to work framing the new layout. Our plans included a spacious breakroom, a locker room, an office, a conference space, and a fully ADA-compliant restroom complete with a shower.
We used wood studs to frame the new rooms, install insulation, and use standard drywall to create the defined spaces. New electrical can lights were added throughout to brighten the entire facility, which features impressive 10-foot ceilings.
After: A Modern and Functional Space
With the work completely wrapped, we’re excited to reveal a facility that’s equal parts beautiful and practical. We installed durable luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring and sleek quartz countertops to give the breakroom and other areas a polished, high-end feel.
Now, the maintenance employees have an inviting place to take a break, a proper locker room, and an accessible shower to use after their shifts. The new office and conference areas provide a professional environment for planning and team meetings.
