We love working with repeat clients, and our recent project for Ten-8 Fire in Lake Wales was no exception.
After completing projects for them in Sanford and Sarasota, we were excited to tackle the remodel of their two existing office buildings. Our goal was to create clean, modern, and highly functional workspaces for their team.
Building 1: A Hub for Mechanics
This building is the heart of the operation for fire engine and ambulance mechanics. We installed a new compressor with a custom metal overhang to service compressed airlines throughout the warehouse.
Outside, we removed a busted-up sidewalk and repoured a new concrete entrance.
Inside the warehouse, we upgraded to new LED UFO lighting, installed galvanized air service piping at six bays, and filled in an old oil maintenance pit.
The building also got a new, insulated roof. The wash bay was completely refreshed with new roof and wall panels to replace old, rusted materials.
Employee areas saw a major overhaul. The restroom, breakroom, locker room, and hallway all received new LVT flooring, fresh paint, and modern fixtures.
We even converted a small room into a full shower space for emergencies. The main office area was also updated with new flooring, lighting, and electrical for wall-mounted TVs.
Building 2: From Storage to Service Center
The second building’s office was in rough shape and had been unused for years. We gutted it completely, repaired rusted roof purlins, and expanded the office space. It now features two new bathrooms, new flooring, a new HVAC system, and LED lighting.
The real glow-up happened in the warehouse, where we installed a brand-new insulated metal roof system, wall exhaust fans, and new UFO lighting. We also replaced a single chain-operated door with six new 14×14 motor-operated rollup doors. This allows more than six large vehicles to be serviced at once and drastically improves workflow.
