Steel, Stucco, and Strong Progress: Phase 2 Construction Advances at Victory Ridge Academy

Six months into Phase 2 construction at Victory Ridge Academy in Davenport, the campus is transforming in ways that are hard to miss, especially from the air. The A.O. Wagner Construction team has all four buildings in progress at once, and our latest update showcases a lot of changes on campus. If you are just catching up, check out our previous Phase 2 update to see how far things have come.

Upper-Level Classroom: Windows In, Finishes on the Horizon

The Upper-Level Classroom building has reached a turning point. The metal roof installation is underway, storefront windows and doors have been installed, and interior wall framing is in progress with completion expected next week. MEP rough ins are also wrapping up, and interior finishes are not far off.

Covered Play Pavilion: Perfect Playtime

The covered play pavilion has come a long way since the last update. The pre-engineered metal building is fully erected and gives a real sense of what this outdoor play space is going to feel like for students. We know this is going to be a standout amenity on this campus.

Cafeteria: Steel Joists and Decking Going In

The cafeteria walls are all topped off and steel joists and decking are being installed now. Once that work is complete, a TPO roof system will close the building up, and then the interior can begin taking shape. This building is a continuation of the gymnasium and locker room complex and will be a great gathering space for students and staff.

Skills Lab: Exterior Underway, Interior Starting Soon

The skills lab pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) is completely installed. Exterior stucco work on the CMU walls has begun, MEP rough ins are underway inside, and interior wall framing will be ready to start in the next couple of weeks.

The Bigger Picture

From above, the full scope of what is happening on this campus is remarkable. Phase 2 site work continues to advance alongside the buildings. Canopy foundation footers have started going in around the Upper-Level Classroom, and courtyard sidewalks are expected to begin pouring around October. The most exciting thing on the horizon though (starting around the beginning of the new school year in August) is the installation of a brand-new interactive playground behind the ELC building. We cannot wait to see it in action.
