With new flooring, fresh paint, and a reimagined Sanctuary column, the A.O. Wagner team is bringing Phase III of the First Presbyterian Church of Winter Haven renovation to life. The three-phase renovation entered its final chapter over the summer. After the stained-glass window relocation was completed earlier in this phase, our crew has spent the remainder of the summer months transforming other major areas of the church’s interior with the goal of wrapping up by the end of August.
Stairwell and Narthex Updates
The stairwell has new paint, new Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) flooring, and new stair landing treads. This update gives the space a clean and updated look. Just beyond the stairwell, the foyer leading into the Narthex (the church’s entry space just inside the front doors) has also received new LVT flooring and fresh paint.
The Narthex itself is getting a complete refresh with new carpet, new paint, new LED lighting, a new acoustical ceiling, and a new HVAC grille—all coming together to create a welcoming entry point for the congregation.
Meeting Room and Library
The Meeting Room has been outfitted with new carpet, new paint, a new acoustical ceiling, new LED light fixtures, new base trim, and a new HVAC grille, completing a top-to-bottom update of the space.
Sanctuary Progress
The Sanctuary has seen some of the most significant changes in Phase III. Our crew removed an existing wall and wrapped the remaining structural column with framing and drywall, then painted the column and added new wood trim for a finished look. New acoustical ceilings have been installed overhead, with LED light fixtures added to brighten the space.
Finally, new LVT flooring is currently going in throughout the Sanctuary, along with fresh paint for the walls.
