Homes weren’t the only structures that suffered damage in last year’s hurricanes. Business across the area also felt the effects. One of those businesses — MI Metals in Oldsmar — asked the professionals at A.O. Wagner Construction to repair their building’s exterior. MI Metals is a leader in aluminum extrusion manufacturing.
Restoring Hurricane-Damaged Panels
The first step of the repairs was pretty straightforward because several 8-foot-tall translucent polycarbonate panels on the building’s exterior were severely damaged, requiring us to replace them immediately.
Matching New Metal Panels to Existing Building Profile
After removing all existing translucent panels, our team installed 26-gauge R-panel metal sheets that were selected to match the existing building profile.

These newly installed panels show how the building’s overall appearance improved dramatically, and they provided a higher level of protection.
Reinstalling Gutters and Downspouts
After securing the panels, our next step was to reinstall the gutters and downspouts to restore drainage. Up under the parapet roof, the original panels have now been removed and replaced to complete the scope of hurricane-related repairs.
Panel Replacement Completed Quicker Than Expected
