We’re excited to highlight our ongoing work at the Polk Septage Receiving Station in Winter Haven, Florida. For this significant infrastructure project, we’re partnering with C&T Contracting Services.
Based in the Tampa Bay region, C&T Contracting specializes in structural concrete and masonry, bringing a strong foundation in water and wastewater infrastructure. Our team at A.O. Wagner Construction is incredibly proud to construct the new Polk Septage Operations Building on their behalf.
Strong Foundations and Steel Structures
Progress on the job site is moving swiftly! We officially started installing the metal trusses and roof decking on March 1, 2026.
Currently, our crews have successfully erected the complete CMU block perimeter. If you look closely at the overhead structures, you can see how the robust steel trusses bear directly on the new block walls to fully support the roof decking.
What Comes Next for the Operations Building?
With the block building exterior taking shape, we’re preparing for the next phases of construction. The sturdy canopies over the doorways are cast in place, providing excellent durability.
Soon, our team will begin the interior framing alongside the necessary MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) rough-ins.
Outside, we’ll move forward with applying stucco and painting the exterior walls, while also installing the new soffits. The door and window openings are already bucked out and completely ready for their respective installations.
Beyond the main operations building, our crew will also supply and erect eight pre-engineered metal buildings manufactured by Butler Manufacturing. These specialized structures will safely house vital facility equipment right on the site. We’re staying directly on schedule and anticipate finishing the main building by May 13, 2026.
