Our A.O. Wagner Construction team is excited to share that the renovation journey at the First Presbyterian Church of Winter Haven is progressing smoothly! We’re now in Phase 2 after celebrating the fantastic completion of Phase 1. Thanks go out to our dedicated team’s expertise and steady progress that keeps the project moving forward smoothly.
Phase 1: Interiors Completed
We are thrilled to share that the men’s ADA restroom is now fully upgraded! It features beautiful new floor tiles, stylish tile wainscoting, warm wood base trim, modern fixtures, and accessories. A sleek acoustical ceiling grid, contemporary lighting, a fresh coat of paint, and updated door hardware were added. We’re excited for everyone to enjoy these great improvements!
The Centennial Room has been thoughtfully refreshed with new carpet tiles, a warm wood base, energy-efficient LED can lights, an acoustical ceiling system, and a lively new coat of paint. We have also added a new TV mount and charming presentation touches to complete the look. The result is a welcoming, functional space that perfectly meets both technical and gathering needs. This phase began on February 3, 2025, and has now come to a close.
Phase 2: Exterior Transformation Underway
In August 2025, we kicked off Phase 2 to give the building’s facade and entrance a fresh new look, aiming to finish everything by December 1, 2025.
The new framing and roof systems for the Soup Kitchen storefront, including TPO and metal roofing, are already in place, and stucco work is actively underway. To keep the design looking cohesive, Berridge metal paneling will be added later, creating a seamless transition between the new and existing structures.
It’s exciting to see the new facade wall taking shape! We’re busy with poured concrete footers, and eight block columns will soon be wrapped in charming brick. The stucco infill between the columns gives a lovely detail. Next, we’ll be installing new sidewalks, storefront doors, and glazing to enhance the updated look beautifully. We’re making great progress and can’t wait to see it all come together!
