PEMB Coming to Life in Lake Hamilton

Back in August 2025, the A.O. Wagner team announced that we were working with Censtate Contractors to deliver a key expansion for the City of Lake Hamilton’s wastewater treatment infrastructure. That expansion involved setting, pouring, and anchoring the foundation for a new pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) that we would be installing. In October, we shared photos and a detailed update as we installed the exterior shell of that PEMB and framed the interior layout. Then, a month later in November, our blog shared impressive progress photos of the interior buildout and exterior work.

Now, we’re back to show you how the new interior is really starting to take shape. When it comes to larger projects, we like to post multiple blogs as they advance because we know it’s exciting for customers and the public to see a project transform from an empty foundation to beautiful building! This one certainly does not disappoint!

Major Milestones Completed

So far, we’ve knocked out several major milestones. The framing is complete, giving the structure its new layout. Following that, our crews finished the rough-ins for the electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems. With those critical systems in place, we moved on to installing the drywall. The walls have been hung, finished, and textured, which means you can now walk through and get a real feel for the individual offices and hallways.

We’ve installed the door frames, further defining the interior flow. In the storage area, the overhead doors and the exterior walk door are now in place, making the section secure and accessible.

What’s Next: Finishing Touches

Now, we’re heading into the finishing stages. Painting is next on the list, which will bring a lot of personality to the space. You’ll also see the team focusing on detail work like trimming out mechanical and electrical features, ensuring everything is both functional and visually polished.

In the next couple of weeks, the ceiling grid will be installed, lights will brighten up the rooms, and the air conditioning system will be brought online for comfort. Flooring and baseboards will follow, pulling the look together and making it ready for daily use.

These elements will make the building functional and comfortable. Our part of the work is on track to be wrapped up by the end of February, and we can’t wait to show you the final result!
