After a hail storm rolled through Avon Park, leaving behind significant damage to the metal panels of recent customer’s roof, they new our team would be able to install a new standing seam metal roof.
Standing seam metal roofs are a roofing system with a flat area in the middle, and raised vertical seams at both ends. The fasteners for this kind of roof are concealed, helping protect them from the elements and ensure their durability. It’s a popular roofing system for commercial buildings thanks to this durability, as well as its cost effectiveness and ease of installation.
The specific material for this metal roof is a material known as Galvalume. This material is formed by cold-rolling steel, then hot-dipping it into aluminum and zinc alloys. This creates a material that is strong, durable, resistant to corrosion, and can last 40 to 50 years!
