The turf is down, the tile is set, and cabinetry is going in as Phase 2 at Victory Ridge Academy in Davenport enters its ninth month of construction. If you have been following along, you have seen the campus grow throughout these past nine months. This update covers the latest changes on campus in the last month.

Victory Ridge Academy Phase 2 construction progress in Davenport

ULC Interior Finishes

The team is now installing interior finishes throughout the ULC, including cabinetry, wall and floor tile in the bathrooms, plumbing fixtures, and light fixtures.

Cafeteria

Interior wall and soffit framing is complete at the cafeteria, and drywall will start going up next week. The walk-in freezer, kitchen hood, and fire suppression system are all scheduled for installation, and exterior building work is wrapping up.

Covered Play Pavilion

The Covered Play Pavilion is very close to completion. The louver and sunshade system was installed after our last update, and the Omega steel fabric fencing that keeps the sports court safely enclosed is now complete. The bathrooms are tiled and ready for plumbing fixtures and final accessories, so students will be able to use this outdoor play space very soon!

Skills Building

Most of the exterior work at the Skills Building is finished, which means the interiors now have our full attention. The walk-in showers in all four bathrooms have been tiled from floor to ceiling, and kitchen cabinets are scheduled for installation next week. The interior two-way viewing windows are also in place, giving therapists a way to supervise life-skill learning sessions with students.

Playground and Sitework

The playground is nearing completion, with all the new interactive equipment and inclusion-minded apparatuses installed, along with soft new turf underfoot. We cannot wait for the students to get a chance to play during recess!

Across the site, walkway canopies continue to go up between buildings. The Covered Pavilion planter is finished and topped with bright new turf, ready for students to plant flowers and vegetables in raised planters soon.
