We’re thrilled to share an inside look at the early construction stages of the new state-of-the-art Lincoln facility located just off Main Street in Lakeland, Florida. Our team at A.O. Wagner Construction officially began work on this major remodel and expansion on February 16, 2026, and we anticipate completing the project by the end of May 2026.
This upgraded facility will allow Jenkins Lincoln to better serve the Lakeland community with expanded operations and modernized spaces.
Building the New Parts Office
Right now, our crews are focused on constructing a brand-new parts office. To support this addition, our talented metal fabricators are installing structural I-beams directly into the existing roof deck.
This heavy-duty steel framework will allow us to create a secure second-floor mezzanine dedicated entirely to parts operations.
Reinforcing the Foundation
Creating a second floor inside an existing structure requires serious structural reinforcement. We began by sandwiching the existing bar joists with new ones and welding them firmly into place to hold the weight of the new mezzanine.
Down on the ground level, our team cut new concrete footers directly into the existing floor. These footers provide the essential foundation for the new steel columns.
We recently installed the columns into the new footers and welded them securely to the overhead support beam. The next step is pouring concrete back into the footers to lock everything permanently into place. The process is quite involved, but we’re no strangers to long-term projects with multiple stages!
