A.O. Construction has made great strides in our ongoing project for CenState Contractors, a Winter Haven-based general contractor that specializes in water and wastewater facilities, lift stations, and utilities since 1985. Our team is providing a Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB), manufactured by Butler Manufacturing, and concrete slab along with a full interior buildout at the Lake Hamilton site.
The building measures 40’ by 80’ with an eave height of 16’, designed to support CenState’s operational needs with durability, efficiency, and long-term performance. Construction began in early August and is on track for completion in mid-December.
Interior Buildout Underway
As we move through the framing and rough-in phase, significant progress is being made.

We installed interior metal stud framing to shape the working areas. Then we installed the HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and rough-ins. With those in place, our next major step is to hang the drywall.

Another perspective of the interior shows the newly installed hollow metal door jambs. These mark the entry points for individual rooms and doorways. Here, too, the building’s interior is ready for the next step.

The interior hallway is built to the same specifications. Once complete, this area will feature polished concrete flooring and a clean, functional layout.

Exterior PEMB Progressing
The Butler building shell is nearly complete on the exterior. We started by installing the concealed fastener wall sheets and then moved on to the standing seam metal roof. Then we worked on the gutter and downspouts. The two walk-in doors are ready as well as one of the two storefront windows. The next step will be to install the overhead roll-up door and the other storefront window.
The opposite side of the building has the same progress. Once the additional storefront window, overhead door, and upper louvers are installed, the structure will be ready for trim work and final detailing.

Moving Toward Completion
With framing complete and exterior details finalized, we are ready to move on to the finishing phase of this project. Our team will transition to installing drywall, concrete flooring, and final interior finishes.
