At A.O. Wagner Construction, we’re thrilled to showcase our ongoing expansion project for Florida Brewery in Auburndale.
This major undertaking involves constructing a new two-story, 7,100-square-foot building for offices, conference rooms, and staff facilities.
We’re also building an additional 4,800-square-foot production area, in an expansion that will significantly boost the brewery’s capacity and streamline its operations for future growth.
So, what have we been up to?
Laying the Groundwork
Every successful build starts from the ground up. Before any concrete was poured, our team excavated the site and roughed in all the necessary plumbing for the two-story office building.
We then poured the foundation footers, carefully equipping them with anchor bolts for the pre-engineered metal building that would form the structure’s skeleton.
A Solid Foundation
With the groundwork complete, it was then time to pour the concrete slab to create a clean and sturdy base for the next phase.
While our teams prepared for the steel positioning, the concrete crew was hard at working creating a specialized water collection pit. This feature includes a stainless steel catch basin designed to trap glass and debris from production. This helps us make sure the water is filtered properly before being pumped away.
Raising the Walls
The arrival of the pre-engineered metal building from NUCOR Building Systems (who we’ve worked with many times before) marked a major milestone, with four full trucks delivering all the components needed for assembly.
Our crew then began the exciting process of erecting the steel columns and beams. Using boom lifts, each piece was carefully hoisted into place, aligned, and bolted securely to bring the structure to life.
This expansion is a testament to careful planning and skilled execution. We’re proud to partner with the Florida Brewery to help them grow and continue serving their community. The new facilities will provide a modern workspace for their team and a more efficient production environment for years to come.
