CWI Build Takes Shape With Doors, Drywall, and Details

Doors are hung, walls are framed, and CWI’s new home in Lakeland is progressing from a steel structure to a finished space. Since our last update on this project, the site has been fully graded and the 120′ x 50′ Whirlwind pre-engineered metal building has been erected. Construction has moved into the framing and rough-in stage for both the office build-out and warehouse space.

Exterior Progress

The sidewall of the PEMB is complete, with wall sheets, gutter, downspouts, and trim all installed.

The end wall features a finished 3070 walk door, giving the building a clean, functional entry point.

At the front of the building, a custom alcove feature sets this PEMB apart from a standard box building. Storefront windows and the storefront entrance door, installed by Central State, bring the alcove design to life.

Overhead doors, installed by American Roll Up Door, are also complete, rounding out the exterior work on the building.

Interior Progress

Inside, light gauge steel studs have gone up throughout, with electrical and HVAC rough-ins completed. Drywall installation is the next step for these framed spaces.

Looking into the future conference room, wood studs and a wood header are in place to support the interior glass walls that will be installed at a later date. Electrical and HVAC rough-ins are finished here as well.

Looking out from the conference room into the flex space, sound batt insulation has been installed to help manage acoustics between rooms.

Down the hallway, looking into the flex space, PEMB insulation is now in place along the interior walls.

Near the bathrooms and office space, T-111 has been installed on the exterior of these rooms, adding another layer of finish ahead of drywall.

What’s Next

With rough framing, electrical, and mechanical work complete, drywall installation begins next week. Curb work and lime rock sitework are also on the schedule for next week, moving this project one step closer to the finish line.
