Creating a New Space for Packaging Corp. of America in Winter Haven

A.O. Wagner is doing what it does best in Winter Haven as we help Packaging Corp. of America create a space that better serves its needs. Th company offers full-service package solutions, utilizing renewable resources and maintaining energy efficiency as they operate.

We’re transforming their current single reception area into two new offices, which will each be approximately 200 square feet each. This interior buildout consists of new framing, new drywall, two new doors, new electrical work, and new HVAC systems. We also infilled an exterior door – blocking and moving a fire pull station.

We’re working efficiently and it shows! Check out these photos to take a look at what we’ve worked on so far:

The photos above offer a look at the reception area before our crew started working its magic.

The metal stud walls shown above are creating the two new office spaces. You can see where the exterior door was removed. It’s framed and ready to receive drywall.

  • In photo 1 above, the drywall is being finished. The electrical has been chased in the new wall. You can also see where the door was removed and filled.
  • Photo 2 shows that the front wall now has two door openings. It was run flush with the existing wall.
  • In photo 3, you can see the partition wall that was constructed to separate the offices. The electrical and data boxes are installed in the new wall.  That black wire hanging out of the wall is the thermostat wire. Each office will have its own separate thermostat to control the temperature.

The image above shows the exterior metal sheets that were installed to cover where the door was removed.

Our next step in the process is to spray texture the walls to match the existing finish. Then, we’ll stain and install the two doors, paint the walls, and trim out the electrical.

Because we removed the exit door that was in the reception area, we must relocate the fire pull and strobe light to the existing door leading outside. We also had to install a push-bar handle to the existing door per the fire code.

We started this project approximately two weeks ago, and we should be finished by June 23!
