Piece by piece, the new Jenkins Lincoln facility in Lakeland is coming together. Since our last update on this build, the new parts office and second-floor mezzanine have nearly reached the finish line, and renovations have begun on the Craftsman offices. This major remodel and expansion is designed to better serve the Lakeland community and surrounding areas, with completion expected by late October.
New Parts Office
The first-floor parts office is essentially complete, aside from relocating the electrical panel box. New LVP flooring, vinyl base, paint, a solid surface countertop, and a door with a lite kit round out the finished space.
The new parts counter features a pass-through glass window to serve customers directly, with the second-floor metal decking forming the ceiling above.
New fabricated columns and beams now support the mezzanine, alongside a new fabricated staircase with railing. New LVP flooring, paint, and LED lighting complete the room. And the stairs leading to the second-floor mezzanine feature new concrete steps and a newly fabricated and painted railing.
Second-Floor Mezzanine
Upstairs, the mezzanine now has new polished concrete flooring, fresh paint, a new HVAC trunk line, and newly fabricated joists at the ceiling.
Craftsman Renovations Underway
With the new parts office complete, renovations have now turned to the Craftsman service room. Crews have framed the wood walls, begun installing metal siding, and relocated the walk-thru door, with siding installation continuing next.
Looking from the Craftsman room into the service manager’s area, rough carpentry and rough electrical work are underway, along with a new walk-thru door frame and new storefront windows. Insulation, drywall, and a new acoustical drop ceiling are next on the schedule.
