Dirt is moving, and a new church home is officially underway in Bartow. A.O. Wagner Construction broke ground August 30 on a brand-new facility for Graceway Community Church, located at the corner of Spirit Lake Rd. and Thornhill Rd. The community gathered to celebrate the milestone, and our crews wasted no time getting started on-site.
About the Project
The project includes a complete site package and a new 16,000-square-foot pre-engineered metal building manufactured by Whirlwind Steel Buildings. Whirlwind has been fabricating award-winning custom metal buildings and components since 1955, with the manufacturing capacity to produce over 150,000,000 pounds of steel products every year. That scale and reliability made them a natural fit for a project of this size.

About the New Church
A drive-thru canopy will greet visitors at the front of the building, setting the tone for a facility built to welcome the community. Upon entering, visitors will pass through the foyer into the Common Fellowship Area—the heart of the new building. The Sanctuary sits just to the left, complete with a sound booth and a raised platform, and offers seating for 220 with room for an additional 48 on the platform.
Surrounding the Common Fellowship Area will be a nursery, toddlers’ room, kids’ room, youth room, and three classrooms, giving every age group in the congregation a dedicated space to call home. There will also be a storage area, a warming kitchen, and bathrooms connected to the Common Fellowship Area.
