Central Florida Theme Park Gets Enhanced Indoor Storage Area

A.O. Wagner Construction recently partnered with a major theme park to expand its indoor storage facility. This project reflects the quiet but essential improvement work frequently featured in our construction portfolio that strengthens the backbone of larger endeavors.

The goal was to enclose an existing covered area to convert it into valuable indoor storage space. With year-round activity and constantly evolving operational needs, protected storage is essential in managing equipment and seasonally rotated materials.

The completed structure will provide 3,900 square feet of indoor storage, dramatically improving functionality for the park.

Before Construction: Assessing the Open Structure

Originally, the building featured a partially covered area. Even though the area was shaded, there wasn’t enough protection from Florida’s elements.

Framing and Sheathing

Our team began by framing in the open portion of the building. Once framing was complete, we installed ZIP system sheathing, a high-performance plywood with an integrated weather barrier. This sheathing enhances moisture control and adds long-term resistance to the structure.

Next, we applied Hardie board siding, known for its strength, clean appearance and resistance to Florida’s weather. Protected with framing, ZIP sheathing, and Hardie siding, the structure now has the dependability and durability to last.

Final Steps: Paint and Door Coming Soon

With the enclosure completed and siding installed, the next steps include painting the exterior and installing new doors. The finishing touches will be wrapped up within the next week, bringing the project to completion.

Once finished, the enclosure will provide nearly 4,000 square feet of enclosed storage, making it an operational upgrade with lasting value.
