A High-Rise Re-Roof, Wall Sheeting for Standard Sand & Silica

Working 125 feet in the air comes with a different set of rules, and the A.O. Wagner Construction crew was prepared for every one of them at Standard Sand & Silica in Lake Wales. This re-roof and wall sheeting project required specialized 150-foot high boom lifts just to reach the work area, and safety stayed front and center throughout the entire project.

Removing the Old, Installing the New

The crew started by removing the old roof sheets from the upper roof, working from the boom lifts to access every section of the structure. Once the old material was clear, new roof sheets went up in its place.

Sheeting the Walls

With the roof complete, the team shifted focus to the walls, installing new sheeting on the sidewalls and end walls at height. Coordinating crew movement safely across multiple boom lifts at once took careful planning, especially with the building’s height and the surrounding equipment to work around.

Finishing the Job

The final stretch of the project brought the crew back to the end wall to complete the sheeting, wrapping up a job that came together in just two weeks despite rainstorms and windy conditions along the way.

Throughout the process, safety and compliance remained a top priority, with every task at height handled with the precision our clients expect.
