Our A.O. Wagner Construction team has made exceptional progress since breaking ground in July 2024 at the Victory Ridge Academy campus in Davenport. It all began with building a bigger, brighter future for the campus and then laying the foundation.
After months of buildings going vertical and a new year update, our team reached major milestones last month. With a completion date of July 2025, here is our latest update.
Early Learning Center Nears Completion
The Early Learning Center (ELC) is approaching its final construction steps. Nine months in, this building has gone from a structural framework to a nearly finished learning space. The drywall process is completed, and the first coat of paint is already brightening the interiors.
Ceiling grids, tiles, and light fixtures are in place in several classrooms. Critical systems like fire sprinklers, plumbing, and HVAC have been installed, and the next steps include flooring and bathroom tiling, bringing us one step closer to completion.
Administration Building Makes a Bold Statement
Sandwiched between the ELC and gymnasium, the administration building is a visual focal point on campus. Its architectural entryway is formed, the structure dried in, and metal trusses are installed and ready to support a matching metal roof. Inside, metal studs frame the future layout, and drywall installation is just weeks away.
Gymnasium Construction Moves Forward
The massive gymnasium shell is nearly complete, and the special netting system allows safe roofing installation. To the rear of the gym, work on the locker rooms and bathrooms has started, with underground plumbing installed and the foundation pour scheduled this week. The building will have basketball and volleyball courts, which are ideal for school functions and hosting events for local and regional sports clubs.
Sitework Progresses Across Campus
Across the site, sidewalks begin taking shape, adding form and connection to the grounds. Canopies, bus loops, and parking lots will follow closely behind. It won’t be long before students step onto this campus, ready to begin a new chapter in a space built just for them.
