Our A.O. Wagner Construction team recently completed repairs on two metal buildings at L. Dicks Inc., an established grower in Dundee since 1949. The project included insulation repairs inside the watermelon shed and structural and roofing upgrades to the equipment shed.
This six-day project provided improvements that guaranteed better protection from the elements. The construction team’s quick actions, which included insulation patching, gutter installations, eave strut replacements, and roof panel replacements, reinforced the integrity of both structures, demonstrating how quickly a project like this can be completed.
Watermelon Shed: Insulation Repair
Upon further inspection, we discovered the areas where the insulation was ripped and sections with severe damage. Having seen this type of impairment before, we knew there were moisture issues, temperature loss, and an unsafe environment for storing produce.
Our team meticulously repaired the insulation, using high-quality vinyl patching tape to seal the damaged areas. This careful approach not only ensured the building’s interior protection but also reassured the client of the quality of our work, as shown below.

Equipment Shed: Structural and Roofing Upgrades
Keeping the client’s equipment safe and protected is another high priority we focus on. As for the equipment shed inspection, it was evident that significant structural and roofing repairs were required to improve stability, drainage, and weather resistance.
