Remember when we shared the first steps of our work on Sebring’s St. Agnes Church?
The A.O. Wagner Construction team has been steadily making progress on the improvements for the congregation. We started the project in September 2024, and the work is finally starting to shape up.
Church Drive-Through and Walkway Upgrades
After demolishing the aging vehicle drive-through and deteriorated walkways, our team transformed this section with new steel columns and custom wood framing to improve its structural integrity.
New Gazebo With a New Bell Tower
At the heart of this renovation is the newly constructed gazebo. Built on a repurposed 20’ x 20’ concrete slab, it now serves as a gathering space for church events. The structure features a bell tower, where the church’s historic bell will soon be installed. Inside, the ceiling showcases beautifully installed tongue-and-groove yellow pine, painted black, for a striking contrast.
Modern Lighting and Electrical Improvements
We also installed new electrical wiring, high-efficiency LED lighting, and coffee machine receptacles for the church’s needs. These updates enhance both functionality and energy savings. The next step is to install ceiling fans to improve comfort within the gazebo.
Attractive Metal Roofing Installation
The 26-gauge R-panel metal roofing over the walkways, drive-through, and gazebo is also near completion. The left section of the roof is complete, while the right side is prepped and ready for the panels. Once the metal fascia and gable end panels are installed, the project will be finished by the end of this month.
A Thrilling Moment Is Waiting
St. Agnes Church’s exterior will soon be fully revitalized, offering its congregation a more durable, functional, and visually appealing space. The church and its congregation will quickly enjoy a refreshing space designed to last for many years, bringing a sense of excitement and optimism for the future.
